Wayland Kimble is beginning his fifth year as Superintendent at Chandler Public School. Previously, he was High School Principal at Chandler for six years and assistant principal at Cushing middle school. He came to Chandler in 1984 as the Agricultural Education teacher and held that position for 22 years.
Wayland graduated from Hydro High School in 1979. He graduated from OSU with his B.S. in Agricultural Education in 1983 and his M.S. in Agricultural Education in 1992.
Wayland’s wife, Dana, was employed by Chandler in 1985 as an elementary teacher. They met each other in August of that same year and have now been married 31 years. They have been blessed with three daughters, Magen, Morgan and Madison.
Wayland’s goal as Superintendent of Chandler Public Schools is to ensure that we are fiscally responsible with what we have been given. If we are responsible with the money we receive, we can continue to offer a multi-faceted, quality education to our students.
He has been a part of many success stories in the educational field over the years. Nevertheless, he is quick to point out that any success has been a joint effort. We have a good parents, community and people at school who care about students.
