Choir Members Sing at OSSBA Conference

The 2018-2019 Junior High Oklahoma Choral Directors Associations All-State choir were invited to sing for the Oklahoma State Board Association Conference held on August 23rd, 2019 at the Cox Convention Center. In attendance were various representatives from school administrations from across the state, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, as well as Oklahoma State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister who was the featured speaker. This is the first time the choir, who normally perform once a year in OKC, has been invited to showcase their talents for the OSSBA. Over 150 students came to sing last years All-State repertoire as well as the National Anthem for those in attendance. Chandler Public Schools had two students participate in this event, freshman Grace Myers and sophomore Shayla Peery. Grace and Shayla both had a great time performing at this event and are excited about auditioning for this coming years All-State choir.
