Summer STEM/Indian Language Camp

Chandler Public Schools hosted two STEM/Indian Language Camps this summer.  There was one week for elementary students, and one week for junior high and high school. Doug McCoy and Jack Gray taught the classes.  They spent approximately 30 to 45 minutes on language, 90 minutes on STEM projects.

Projects included: paper rockets, No CO2 racers, mousetrap cars, Kites, paper towers, Catapults, and straw rockets, rubber band cars. 

Indian Language: The students learned Cherokee, numbers 1-10, casual common phrases that students could use to start conversations and exchange pleasantries. They also learned animals, as well as different tenses for words.
