Kelli Robbins is the Math Specialist at Park Road Elementary. She has been teaching for 17 years and 16 of those have been spent at Chandler Public Schools. A Chandler alumna, she attended the University of Oklahoma and University of Central Oklahoma.
Q What led you to teaching?
A I was fortunate enough to have some really great teachers growing up and always wanted to impact children the way they impacted me.
Q Did you have anyone who influenced your decision to become an educator?
A I had many wonderful teachers, but I will always remember Mrs. Kimble and the positive influence she had. She made me love to come to school daily.
Q What would you say most motivates you to teach?
A I am motivated to teach because I believe that every child deserves to have someone that believes in them and pushes them to be the best person they can be.
Q What are you most excited or passionate about?
A Teaching each of my students to be kind compassionate individuals and to never stop learning.
Q What do you find most challenging about being a teacher?
A Expectations from people that have never stepped foot in a classroom.
Q What's the best thing to happen since you started teaching?
A Watching former students become successful adults.
Q What profession other than your own would you most like to attempt?
A I would love to be a pediatrician.
Q What are three things every teacher should own?
A Chocolate (lots of chocolate), caffeine, and a whistle.
Kelli is married to Jeremy. They have one son Kyle, a sixth grader at Park Road. She enjoys spending time with her my family and friends, and attending all of Kyle’s activities.
