2nd Grade Bedlam Reading Challenge

  1.  Students will read books at their appropriate reading level.  If you are unsure of your child’s reading level, please contact your child’s teacher.
     ***If your child’s reading level includes CHAPTER BOOKS:
    • Chapter books of 60 pages or more (with minimal pictures) can be
                    counted as 5 books (1 slip).  [teacher’s discretion]
    • Individual chapters do not count as seperate books.
    • Picture books and small chapter books count as 1 book.

 

  1. The students must have a minimum of 25 books read to participate in the Bedlam Bash.

 

  1. A child may turn a list with 5 books read each day.  Please write the books read on the designated slip.  The students will bring home either an OU or OSU slip.   Only these slips will be accepted and they must be signed by an adult!
    (Only 1 Beldam slip will be accepted each day.  Please turn in slips daily.)

 

  1. After reading a goal of 100 books and scoring a touchdown, the student may try again for further touchdowns.  The students will be recognized at the assembly when they achieve a touchdown.

 

  1. Reading assignments DO NOT count on the Bedlam slips.  Please do not repeat books on the slips.  Each book will only count once.

 

  1. Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions of concerns.

 

  1. Have fun in your reading adventures!  May the best team WIN!
     

Contest will end mid-January.  Specific date to be announced later.
