Observing Earth Day!
Ms. Savig's Outdoor Skills class took charge on Earth Day this year and began the task of cleaning up trash outside the Media Center, Park Road Safe Room, and the Junior High. Over the course of two days, the class filled seven giant bags of trash! They found large items, such as 5 gallon buckets and sheet metal, along the tree line behind the junior high. They also found small items such as chip bags and drink bottles near the picnic tables.
Outdoor Skills focuses on Wildlife Conservation, so picking up trash will help the local wildlife thrive and not be in danger of eating something it's not supposed to, or getting hurt by something sharp.
