Posted Date: 02/21/2024

Chandler Junior High English teacher Pam Anderson received a Lifetime Achievement Award during the Chandler Chamber of Commerce annual banquet on February 13, 2024. She was recognized as an inspirational teacher and leader for the unwavering support and tireless promotion of students, veterans and community.

A long-time resident, Pam and her husband Eldon have lived in Chandler for 34 years. During this time, she has served her community in a multitude of ways. For many years Pam served as a teacher to the 5 and 6-year-old Prims class at Chandler First Assembly of God, where she still attends. In addition to teaching at Chandler Public Schools she has also acted as academic team coach, JH student council leader and Gifted and Talented advisor. She also serves on the board at the Museum of Pioneer History.

Pam is an integral part of our community and her passion for America and honoring veterans is unmatched. She sets an exemplary example of civic duty while honoring veterans with moving, student-led Veterans Day Programs every year. Pam understands the importance of teaching the next generation appreciation and gratitude for our service members, skillfully connecting her students to local veterans at every opportunity. Her patriotism is contagious, and the lessons instilled by her are lasting upon her past and present students.

Pam is the embodiment of a citizen who goes above and beyond her job duties to make our community a better place. She has impacted countless lives with her dedication to educating our students, and her committment to service above self. Congratulations, Mrs. Anderson!
