Several Chandler High School student-athletes were honored during the 8th annual Best of Tri County Area Preps awards banquet in Shawnee on June 4. 

They included: Kalee Peery, Student of the Year finalist and recipient of a $250 scholarship; Carson Clagg, football player of the year finalist; Carson Jackson, Fastpitch softball player and girls basketball player of the year finalist; Kennedy Allen, Fastpitch softball finalist of the year; Taigan Gardner, Cross Country player of the year finalist; Rhett Haley, Cross Country player of the year finalist; Landon Earp, wrestling player of the year finalist; Braxton Estes, baseball player of the year finalist; Chaden Sullivan, baseball player of the year finalist; Jaylee Ventris, slow pitch softball player of the year finalist; and Grant McGinnis, boys basketball player of the year finalist.
